Malaika Green

Malaika Mfalme is a Tanzanian/Australian singer, songwriter, guitarist and multidisciplinary performer whose career has been built on the transformative power of live performance. With more than 1,000 performances across Australia and internationally, they are recognised for emotionally compelling storytelling, expressive vocals and an ability to forge an immediate connection with audiences. Their work spans contemporary music, interdisciplinary performance, cabaret, festivals and devised ensemble productions, with appearances at Sydney Opera House, Carriageworks, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Sydney World Pride and Phoenix Central Park. Alongside their original music career, Malaika has developed a reputation as an engaging emcee, curator and live presenter, creating distinct stage personas and moving fluidly between comedy, vulnerability, improvisation and heartfelt storytelling. Years of hosting concerts, leading audiences through immersive experiences and collaborating across music, theatre and visual arts have given them a versatile stage presence that naturally lends itself to character work and musical theatre. A featured soloist with Deborah Kelly's acclaimed Creation Chorale, Malaika thrives in collaborative rehearsal environments and is passionate about performance that brings together music, movement and narrative. They are excited to bring their extensive live performance experience, musicianship and curiosity into musical theatre, embracing new opportunities to grow as an actor while continuing to tell stories that resonate with warmth, humour and humanity.
