About
Isabella Valette is an award-winning Melbourne-based performer, writer and musical comedian whose work blends musical theatre, improv and comedy. A graduate of the prestigious Arts Educational Schools London (presided over by Andrew Lloyd Webber), she holds a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre and has built a reputation as a dynamic musical comedy performer. Her shows have earned major critical acclaim across the country. How Far I’ll Go won Best Solo Show at Hobart Fringe, while Cabaret Unscripted received nine Judge’s Picks at Melbourne Fringe, a Best Cabaret nomination, and went on to win the Green Room Award for Most Outstanding Musical Direction (2024). Her latest show, Cabaret Time Machine, was named a Fringe Guarantee show, received a Judge’s Pick and won the WA Tour Ready Award at Melbourne Fringe 2025. In 2026, she took home the Best Weekly Cabaret Award at Perth Fringe. Equally at home in structured musical theatre as in comedy and improvisation, Isabella has been a core member of acclaimed improv companies Impromptunes and The Big HOO HAA! since 2014. She is also a regular contributor to ABC 774’s Pundamonium and was commissioned to write and perform the original song “Modern Day Medici” for the Melbourne Fringe Festival, closing their Gala performance.
