Carly Bettinson

I'm a multidisciplinary artist that delights in sincerity, sparkle & storytelling. I was lucky to grow up in a house of musicians and creatives so my life is anchored around music, creating art, learning & ideas. About 7 months into my musical theatre studies I was cast as Dorothy in the Wizard Of Oz Arena Spectacular which meant I took step back from studying to join the national tour & begin auditioning for productions like Frozen & Fiddler On The Roof. Since then I've been training and working as an independent artist in Meanjin, performing professionally in a production of Parade and Disney in Concert (amongst other productions). I've also spent the last 4 years documenting my work as a fibre artist on Youtube (148K) & it's a rather exhilarating outlet as I challenge myself to make whimsical, thoughtful & unique garments every week. It's a blessing in this life to have creative expression & whether it's movement, voice, song or fibres, I am thankful for every artistic medium I can harness to share my heart.
