Athan McLeod

My name is Athan McLeod, and I'm 18 years old. I’ve been dancing since I was three years old and have spent the past 15 years training and performing with Conroy Dance Centre. Geoffrey Ashenden has been my singing teacher since 2023. Throughout that time, I’ve competed in eisteddfods, performed solos and end-of-year concerts, and taken part in a wide range of opportunities that have helped me develop my confidence, versatility and stage presence. I’ve also had the opportunity to travel internationally, performing a couple of times at the Macau International Dance Festival in Macau, China. Closer to home, I’ve performed in the Brisbane Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols and taken part in a variety of smaller performances through UP Agency. For the past eight years, I’ve been a member of the Starz Production Team at Conroy Dance Centre. Through Starz, I’ve performed across Brisbane and Queensland in Christmas parades, carolling events, mini shows and other performances, as well as character suit work portraying characters such as Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph. While attending St Joseph’s Nudgee College, I’ve also been involved in several college musicals. My theatre experience includes playing Pugsley in The Addams Family, performing in High School Musical and Footloose, and playing the Lion in The Wiz. These productions have allowed me to combine my experience in dancing, singing and acting while developing my skills as an all-round performer. What makes me unique is my easy-going personality and genuine enjoyment of performing. I love being involved in all aspects of dance, singing and theatre, and I bring a positive attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to take on new challenges to every opportunity. I’m comfortable adapting to different performance environments and always aim to be someone who is enjoyable, reliable and easy to work with.
