Alexis Anderson

Alexis is a passionate and enthusiastic musical theatre performer based in Melbourne. She has been involved in musical theatre since the age of six, and has developed a strong interest in telling deeply moving stories in fun engaging ways. Her performance experience includes (but is not limited to) shows with Broadway Academy and Sprout Theatre Company, where she has performed in roles such as Matilda Wormwood (Matilda The Musical - Broadway Academy) and has been involved in many productions on stage, in everything from title roles to ensemble as well as working backstage and in the technical department. She has also been vocally trained for 5 years and continues to grow these skills. She particularly enjoys playing fun comedic roles, but does also have experience in the shoes of serious or emotional characters and is passionate about bringing well loved and new stories to audiences as well as giving young children the same inspiration that she had on stage. She would describe her performance style as energetic, comedic, bubbly, and confident Outside of performing, she has experience in theatre technology and stage directing, which has helped her develop a strong understanding of all aspects of theatre production and gain a wholistic view on what it really takes to put on a show. She is excited to continue developing as a performer and to gain further experience in professional theatre, with the goal of one day inspiring others to follow in her footsteps and take on every opportunity that comes their way.
